Yes. In the Air and Home Care Recycling Programme you need to send back a shipment within 6 months of your registration, and if you are inactive for a 6 month period during any other time you will be removed to enable someone that is on the waiting list and wants to participate to join.
Please log into your account on the TerraCycle website. Select the “PROFILE” tab and then “COLLECTION PROGRAMMES“ and you will see a grey X to the right of each programme.

There is no minimum shipment on the Air and Home Care Recycling Programme, which means you will receive TerraCycle points for all the air and home care waste you send in regardless of the size of the shipment. You can send in up to 70 kg of Air & Home Care packaging using our standard pre-paid label. The bigger the packages the better as it is better for the environment if you send fewer larger parcels.
When you want to post a shipment, print your label and attach it securely onto the shipment.We recommend using any old cardboard box – which can be obtained from your local supermarket or home deliveries Then simply order a free pick-up via UPS by calling 03457 877 877, and UPS will collect at your location. You can also drop-off your parcel at your closest UPS drop-off point, which you can find here.

No, all shipping is free! You will be able to print UPS shipping labels from our website through your online account. This will bring your Air and Home Care product packaging collections back to our factory to be recycled into other TerraCycle products. You win, we win, and the environment wins!

Yes. You can select or change the charity through the TerraCycle website. Simply log into your account at www.terracycle.co.uk and click on PROFILE. Then select the “My Impact” tab through your profile and select “add new charity” to fill out all necessary charity information. Please note: Whichever charity you have listed on your account on April 30th and October 31st will be the beneficiary of the funds earned on your account. You can also call 0800 0470 984 or email our Customer Support Team with the charity name, address, contact person and the registered charity number.
Charity cheques are mailed DIRECTLY to the designated charity, not to the individual contact. Charities will receive a cheque in June for collections received between 1st November 1st - 30th April. Charities will receive a cheque in December for collections received between 1st May – 31st October.
We accept any size shipment on the Air and Home Care Recycling Programme, and there is no minimum shipment size on this programme. This means you will receive 2 points per item sent in regardless of shipment size. You can redeem your points at any time towards a variety of charitable gifts or a cash donation (cheque) to any UK based non-profit or charitable organisation, including schools. Please keep in mind that there is a minimum of 1,000 points or £10 needed for a cash donation. Cash donations are mailed directly to the charity, twice a year in June and December. All cash donations requested between 1st May and 31st October will be sent out in December. All cash donations requested between 1st November and 30th April will be sent out in June.

No. Each household and organisation can only have one Air and Home Care Recycling Programme account. However, programme members are able to split their charity donations across multiple charities. If you have any questions please contact our Customer Support Team for clarification.
Signing up for the Air and Home Care Recycling Programme is easy! You will need to provide a contact person to oversee the Air and Home Care Recycling Programme at your home or location and a valid e-mail and mailing address.
We welcome anyone to join in our recycling efforts, from individuals to large organisations! There are some practical considerations you should keep in mind. For example, our programme is not designed to accommodate recycling centres.

As with most TerraCycle programmes this programme covers a particular category – in this instance the programme recycles only air care related products.
To be clear, this programme is not intended to recycle the following:
We establish an average weight for each waste stream (air and home care products, baby food pouches, biscuit wrappers etc) collected through a programme and weigh packages when we receive them at our warehouse. Your account will be credited based on the weight of the package sent in and weighed at TerraCycle facilities, not individually counted units. We accept any size shipment on the Air and Home Care Recycling Programme, and all shipments will be credited with points regardless of the shipment size.
TerraCycle credits your shipment by dividing its weight by the average weight of the material sent in on the Air and Home Care Recycling Programme (the average weight is 22g) to determine the number of units you are credited with. For each 22g of weight within your shipment you earn 2 TerraCycle points. Each TerraCycle point can be redeemed for a payment of £0.01 to the UK based charity or school of your choice.
