What is the Rubbish to Riches Collection Contest?
The Rubbish to Riches Collection Contest is a collection competition amongst members of the four Brigade programs outlined above. TerraCycle will award 20,000 TerraCycle points worth £200 in charitable donations, shared between the top 7 collectors in the contest.
When is the Rubbish to Riches Collection Contest happening?
The contest is running between the 1st February 2013 and 30th April 2013
Who can participate
The Rubbish to Riches Collection Contest is open to all locations in the Activia Yogurt Brigade, BIC Writing Instruments Brigade, Kenco Eco Refill Brigade and Tassimo Brigade. Locations are automatically entered into the contest if their TerraCycle profiles show them to be confirmed and active on this Brigade® (not on a waiting list) on www.terracycle.co.uk as of 1st February 2013. Both groups and households can enter the contest but remember the more people that are collecting on your behalf, the greater chance your location has to become a winner.
How does a location win the Rubbish to Riches Collection Contest?
TerraCycle will determine the winners based on the number of units collected within the contest timeframe as described above. A unit of waste is defined by the average unit weight for the Activia Yogurt Brigade, BIC Writing Instruments Brigade, Kenco Eco Refill Brigade and Tassimo Brigade, see each individual Brigade page FAQ for more information on average unit weights.
What are the Prizes?
The seven locations with the highest collections on the Activia Yogurt Brigade, BIC Writing Instruments Brigade, Kenco Eco Refill Brigade and Tassimo Brigade during the contest will win prizes as follows:
