Recycle your waste with Kenco

TerraCycle and Kenco have partnered to create Coffee Packaging Recycling Programme, a free recycling programme for coffee packaging waste such as coffee refill bags, jar lids, coffee bean bags and coffee sticks, and a fundraising opportunity for participants. Please use the map / post code search facility below to find your nearest public location – then simply drop your coffee packaging waste back to the collection point during the opening hours listed.  Please note that we are not currently accepting any new locations for this programme.

This programme is run through public drop-off points only. 

You can drop off your coffee packaging waste at any of the existing network public drop off locations. Please use the post code search facility on the map below to find your nearest location. 

Please note that there is currently a waiting list for new public drop off point locations for the Coffee Packaging Recycling Programme

The minimum shipment requirement is 7 kg.

There is a growing network of public drop-off locations all over the UK, giving everyone the opportunity to drop off their waste for recycling. If your location would like to be considered to become one of our public drop-off points, you must fill in the Drop-off Application Form to begin the application process. One of the team will contact you should your application be successful.



How it works

Participation in the Coffee Packaging Recycling Programme is completely free and very easy.

Best practices for recycling

Flatten coffee packaging and bag up lids separately. Tape the box together securely ensuring there are no loose edges or corners. Print your label and attach it securely to the shipment. Please remember that the minimum shipment requirement is 7 kg.

What happens to the waste

Once collected, the Coffee Packaging waste is cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products. Click here to learn more about the recycling process.


TerraCycle Points

TerraCycle Points can be redeemed for a variety of charitable gifts or a payment of £0.01 per point to the charity organisation of your choice. For more information about our points programme, click here.
